AP Tutoring in Calculus, Statistics,Physics, and Computer Science —Taught by a Working Engineer
Weekly AP support built around your school’s own pacing, with free-response practice under exam conditions and a May workback that starts before spring break. Taught by a UC Berkeley engineer who spent eight years building production software at Amazon — for the courses where that background is the qualification, not a talking point.
The AP courses we teach directly
This is the whole list, and it is deliberately short. A tutoring service that claims every AP subject is either running a roster of contractors or overstating — we do neither.
AP Calculus AB
Limits through the fundamental theorem, with the free-response conventions that cost the most points.
AP Calculus BC
Series and parametrics on top of the AB sequence, paced against your school's own calendar.
AP Statistics
Inference and study design — the two places where the exam punishes a memorised procedure.
AP Physics 1
Algebra-based mechanics, taught by building the reasoning rather than the formula sheet.
AP Physics C
Calculus-based mechanics and E&M, including the calculus students are meeting for the first time.
AP Computer Science A
Java, object design, and the free-response style — from a working software engineer.
AP Computer Science Principles
The Create task and the exam, with real engineering context behind the concepts.
Every other AP course — what we can honestly offer
For AP History, English, languages, economics, psychology and the rest, we coach the study method rather than the content. The student builds an error log for that class, a revision schedule tied to their own assessments, and a routine for checking their work — and we review it with them weekly.
That is genuinely useful and it is not the same thing as a subject tutor. We will tell you which one your student actually needs, including when the answer is their own teacher during office hours, which is free and frequently better than either.
Owned by the student — files, not accounts
Any AI tool
Starts from zero, every session. It does not know your child and it does not remember them — the student’s files are the continuity, which is why the system survives a tool change, a school year, and graduation.
The loop, inside an AP course — chain rule and all
Scored like a reader — and the student checks the scorer.
FRQ_2b_solution.jpg → scored
AP Calculus AB · five steps against the released scoring guideline
The student’s five steps, graded
- 1. s(t) = sin(t²) — position givensetup point
- 2. v(t) = ds/dt — differentiate for velocitymethod point
- 3. v(t) = cos(t²)chain rule dropped — derivative point lost
- 4. v(2) = cos(4)follows from step 3 — no double penalty
- 5. units: m/s statedunits point
The instruction — written by the student
Score my next FRQ step like an AP reader: name the scoring row it fails, award the points, and do NOT fix my work — make me find the slip.
