What we collect, and why.

Who we are

AI College Prep Academy (“we”) offers college consulting and SAT/ACT preparation, live online across the United States, based in Glenview, Illinois. This page explains what the site at aicollegeprep.org collects and why. Questions and requests go to contact@aicollegeprep.org.

What the inquiry form collects

The form is for a parent or guardian. It asks for your name, your email, an optional phone number, the student’s grade where the request needs it, which exam you are asking about where the request needs it, and an optional message. It does not ask for the student’s name, address, school, scores, or essays. Anything you choose to put in the message is stored with the inquiry.

We use this to reply, to set up a consult, and to keep a record of the conversation. The inquiry is stored in our private inquiry database and a notification is sent to our own mailbox. A person reads it. No automated decision is made about you or your student from the form.

If you later become a client, we collect what the service needs, with you, and we explain it at that point. The student’s work with an AI helper is set up with a parent’s approval.

Cookies, analytics and advertising pixels

The site itself needs no cookies to work. Analytics and advertising tags (Google Analytics, the Google Ads conversion tag, and the Meta Pixel) load only after you choose “Allow analytics and ads” in the banner. If you choose “Essential only”, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, they do not load. You can change the choice at any time from the “Cookie choices” link in the footer. If you later choose “Essential only”, no further analytics or ads tags load and we clear the click identifiers held in your browser (identifiers already stored with an inquiry you submitted stay with that record, under the retention rule below), but cookies those companies already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them in your browser settings.

With your consent, these tags may set cookies and receive the page you visited, a cookie-based identifier, a reference number for the inquiry (which only we can match back to it), and an event when an inquiry is accepted. We send them no name, email, phone number, message text, or student information. The page address sent to analytics is stripped of any campaign parameters and click identifiers before it leaves your browser.

When you arrive from an ad, the ad platform adds a click identifier to the address. With your consent we keep it with your inquiry in our private database, so we can tell the platform that its ad led to a real conversation. The ad platform’s own tag also reads its click identifier, may store it in a cookie in your browser, and sends it to the platform. Without your consent we keep none of it, and we remove Google’s click identifiers from the address bar as soon as its tag has loaded. It is never used to identify a student.

If you allow analytics and ads cookies, the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel send Google and Meta the pages you viewed on this site and the fact that an inquiry was accepted, and those companies may use that to show you our ads and to improve their own advertising systems. California law calls that “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can stop it at any time with “Cookie choices” in the footer, or with a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

Global Privacy Control

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to stop sharing your information for advertising, and we process it automatically: you do not have to fill anything in or tell us who you are. Several browsers and extensions can send one; see globalprivacycontrol.org. If you have already chosen “Allow analytics and ads” and then turn the signal on, we ask you again.

How you found us

For every inquiry we keep the page you landed on, the site that referred you (as a host name only, never the full address), and campaign tags from the link you followed. These are drawn from a short list of values we control; anything else is discarded. This is stored in your browser’s own session storage, not a cookie, and it is erased when you close the tab. If you allow analytics and ads cookies, these campaign tags, the landing page and the referring host are also sent to Google Analytics and Google Ads alongside the event that an inquiry was accepted; your name, email, phone number and message never are.

Hosting logs and safeguards

Like every website, ours is served by hosting providers (Vercel for the pages, Amazon Web Services for the inquiry function) that record the requesting IP address, the page requested and the time in their standard server logs, for security and reliability. Those logs are kept by the provider for a limited period, are not joined to your inquiry, and are not used for advertising.

Inquiries are stored in a private database with access limited to the founder and the systems that process them. If a security incident ever affects your personal information, we tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information for money. We do “share” it in the specific sense California law uses for cross-context behavioral advertising: with your consent, the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel receive the pages you viewed and the fact that an inquiry was accepted. “Cookie choices” in the footer, or a Global Privacy Control signal, stops that. These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide their service: Amazon Web Services (the inquiry database and the function that stores it), Vercel (hosting and, where we enable it, cookieless site measurement that runs only with your consent), SendGrid (the notification email to us and any email you agree to receive), and a scheduling provider if you book a consult time through a booking link. Two other providers act only on our instructions: Google Analytics receives the page and event data described above, and only after you allow analytics; Cal.com, the scheduling service, receives what you type into its booking form if you choose to book a consult from the thank-you page.

We disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of a student, a family, or our staff.

Students and children

Our forms are for adults. The guide request is for a parent, guardian or educator; you get the guide, and nothing else is sent automatically. If we ever add an optional email series, that page will say so and you will be able to leave it at any time. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through this site. Information about a student comes from a parent or guardian, and any work a student does with an AI helper in our services is set up with a parent’s approval and the student’s own written instructions, which the family keeps.

How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry for up to three years from your last contact with us, so we can pick the conversation back up; if you become a client we keep the service records for as long as the engagement and our tax and business records require. You can ask us to delete an inquiry at any time. We delete it from our inquiry database, from the measurement records we keep beside it, and from our mailbox where we can, and we confirm when it is done. Two limits, said plainly: we keep a minimal record if you asked us not to contact you again or where a law requires it, and anything already sent to an advertising platform under your earlier consent is held under that platform’s own policy, which you control in your account with them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing contact@aicollegeprep.org. We reply within a reasonable time and we do not treat you differently for asking. We offer these choices to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live. California residents also have these rights by statute under the California Consumer Privacy Act; where any law gives you more, the law applies.

Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out. Replying to a consult email is never a marketing consent.

Changes to this page

This version took effect on September 18, 2026. If the cookie and pixel section changes materially, the banner asks for your choice again.
